Ages and Costs

Ages

Too Much to Choose FromIn each of the five Kindergarten groups children are 3, 4, 5 and 6 years old.

Children who have a confirmed place in Class 1 become part of the integrated Taikura Rudolf Steiner School from their 6th birthday (while still attending the Kindergarten).

Children on the Integrated School Register (6 year olds) are required to attend 5 days a week.

Structure of the Kindergarten

School FairThere are two sources of funding from the Government and the Kindergarten structure is governed by this:

  1. Early Childhood Education which is for 3–5 year olds.  Money from this source is used to fulfil the Early Childhood Charter Objectives....
  2. Taikura Rudolf Steiner School (Integrated School) which includes 6–7 year olds.  When Kindergarten children turn 6 years, they are transferred onto the School’s register (if they are able to be included in the appropriate Class One).

All policies relating to the Integrated School are held at the School (including the Enrolment Policy).  The Charter, and other information, which pertains only to the Early Childhood Education is available at the Parents’ Libraries at the Kindergartens.
