Types of Stay
There are two ways in which an International Student can attend our school:
1 As a fee-paying student: You will pay NZ$2,950 per term in 2010 (this includes disbursement fees such as stationery, writing utensils, field trips etc) plus NZ$120 administration fee for the host family co-ordinator plus NZ$200 board per week to the host family. (Fees are subject to change annually). There may be an additional fee for school camps.
2 As an exchange student: You will stay with a family in our school community and someone from that family will exchange with you. Each student will continue to pay school fees to their own school while overseas and the maximum time between exchanges will be two years. Generally, school costs are covered; however, you will have to contribute to a school camp.

Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr – FSJ
Taikura Rudolf Steiner School does not offer places for people wanting to do their voluntary service (Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr – FSJ). We have tried to communicate this to the Freunde der Erziehungskunst, but as the list of schools is on www.waldorfschule.de there is not much we can do about it. We suggest that you contact Hohepa Hawke’s Bay, which is a residential community for people in need of special care. You can email them on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
