Taikura will offer quarterly school tours in 2010. Participation in a tour is one of the requisites for registration on the school waiting list and it is important that parents/guardians of children enrolled in our Kindergartens attend. We recommend that you do not bring children to these tours. It can be disappointing if they like what they see and we cannot realise their hopes or expectations. At present we have full classes with waiting lists. The tour date for Term 2, 2010 is as follows:

. Please provide us with your name(s), contact phone number (mobile or work number) and the age(s) of your child(ren) when phoning or emailing to book. There will also be a Family & Friends Morning on Friday 17 September, at which there will be a Community Assembly (at 9.15 am) and open classrooms until 12.30 pm. The Class 12 Projects will be on display until 3.00 pm. Taikura Rudolf Steiner School operates on an Enrolment Scheme. Our six Kindergarten groups also have some waiting lists and will continue to offer regular Open Afternoons to register children on their waiting lists. Parents with newborn babies are especially encouraged to attend one of these Open Afternoons as soon as possible. In Term 2, 2010 the Open Afternoons are as follows:
Parents are able to bring their children to these Open Afternoons and no booking is required. Kindergarten waiting list registration forms are available at these Open Afternoons and parents can indicate their preference for Hastings, Havelock North or Taradale Kindergartens on these forms.
